Cottiscarth Orkney Cottages sit right in the heart of natural Orkney with stunning views across Kirkwall Bay to the Island’s main town. They are also right alongside a Site of special Scientific Interest and an RSPB bird reserve.

The Dale of Cottiscarth is famous for its Hen Harrier population which has been the subject of a fifty year project. Set in the valley of Settiscarth, our holiday home looks right across a favourite hunting spot for the bird and you can watch them in action from your living room window.

The famous sites of Skara Brae, the Ring of Brodgar and Maeshowe are little more than ten minutes away by car with both Kirkwall and Stromness just a twenty minute drive away.

The cottages are also part of an organic farm and visitors are welcome to come along and see the cattle and sheep grazing.

If you are looking for a peaceful holiday home but with easy access to the Heart of Neolithic Orkney and all its treasures, then Cottiscarth Cottages is the perfect destination.
